The Ten skirts represent the independent women who owned and lived in historic Meroogal House Nowra.
The skirts were inspired by the hand made fabric light shades throughout the property. The steamer trunk forms the torso and womb of the first woman who immigrated from England and lived in the house. The skirts were designed on the individual personalities of each woman in the following three generations.
The steamer trunk was found and interestingly was painted a very similar green to Meroogal House.
