The Kiss Art

Environmental Artist Cheryl-Leigh Cross created the concept of The Kiss. As a visual artist and beachcomber for many years, she has merged these two passions and re-interpreted them as artworks commenting on human interaction with our environment.

Her work uses a range of found objects, particularly from the shores of Jervis Bay, as a micro vision of our culture and the global problem of pollution.

Other objects are salvaged from the local waste centre or obtained from her supportive community. The material and methods used to create her artwork aim to minimise the use of new resources and thus have less negative environmental impact.

Cheryl-Leigh has exhibited her work for many years and is still thoroughly inspired by the use of found materials.

She is currently working on product ranges for The Kiss using recycled and discarded materials.
