Event: The Kiss – Jervis Bay will be coordinating and interactive event called “Create a Forest”. A row of recycled board tree trunk stumps will line the walkway at The Lady Denman Maritime Museum Huskisson, the venue for World Environment Day in Jervis Bay. In the past Huskisson was a boat building and logging town. Participants will be able to paint and decorate large pieces of tree top foliage. As each piece of foliage is completed it will be attached to the tree trunk stumps. By the end of the activity a symbolic forest will have been created.This activity represents the past activities of our community, our ongoing efforts to protect our bushland and forests and an opportunity to be part of the United Nations global theme of Forests: Nature at your Service.
